The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses recognizes the special work that nurses do every day. It was established by the DAISY Foundation – an organization for the elimination of diseases attacking the immune system – in memory of J. Patrick Barnes.
Barnes’ parents created the foundation because they had experienced firsthand the skills and compassionate care of many nurses. The award is given quarterly to outstanding nurses in more than 315 hospitals across the country.
Menorah Medical Center is proud to be among those recognized hospitals.
This award program offers patients, families, and professional colleagues a way to honor nurses for all they do.
