Menorah Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare network and private-sector employer—announces two physicians joining Midwest Cancer Care at Menorah. Joseph F. Stilwill, MD, and Stephanie L. Graff, MD, join the cancer care leader in the heart of Johnson County that offers specialized, patient-focused diagnosis and treatment and support.
Dr. Stilwill, board-certified in hematology/medical oncology and Dr. Graff, board-certified in hematology/medical oncology and internal medicine and fellowship trained in breast oncology, join Sukumar Ethirajan, MD, at Midwest Cancer Care at Menorah.
Like Dr. Ethirajan, Dr. Stilwill enjoys providing patients with personalized, advanced cancer care to help improve outcomes. Dr. Stilwill received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship at Loyola University Hospital. Most recently Dr. Stilwill was in private practice in the Omaha area, providing a variety of hematologic and oncologic consultations to patients. Dr. Stilwill served as a clinical instructor at Loyola University and as an attending physician delivering care to veterans. He has served in several professional leadership positions including chairman of the cancer care committee at a large Iowa-based hospital and as an active community volunteer with his time and professional skills. He completed his fellowship at Loyola University Hospital, Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital and the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center in the Chicago area.
Dr. Graff also provides cancer care services to patients at Midwest Cancer Care at Research, also part of HCA Midwest. She specializes in breast oncology care and treatment options and has strong cancer research experience, actively leading clinical trials to help ensure patients have access to the latest in cancer treatments. Dr. Graff received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine where she completed her internal medicine residency. She completed her hematology/medical oncology fellowship and breast oncology sub-fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
“Midwest Physicians offers high-quality care to patients across greater Kansas City, especially in cancer care,” says Loren Meyer, MD, Midwest Physicians president. “Drs. Stilwill and Graff are representative of the physicians we recruit who are dedicated to patient-centered care throughout our network of hospitals.”
Steven D. Wilkinson, FACHE, president and chief executive officer of Menorah Medical Center, says the addition of Drs. Graff and Stilwill to Midwest Cancer Care at Menorah helps solidify the hospital’s high-quality patient care. “The Commission on Cancer accredits Midwest Cancer Care at Menorah Medical Center as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, which demonstrates our dedication to excellent patient care,” says Wilkinson. “We strive to provide patients with the best care, from diagnosis to treating the whole person, and Drs. Stilwill and Graff personify that commitment.”
