Menorah Medical Center—part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider—has appointed Jeff Taylor as Chief Operating Officer. Taylor assumed operational responsibilities on Dec. 1 of the 158-bed acute-care facility that has 600 physicians and over 800 employees.
Taylor comes to Menorah Medical Center from Belton Regional Medical Center—also part of HCA Midwest Health—where he served as Chief Operating Officer since 2014 and led infrastructure improvements and technology upgrades. Prior to that position, Taylor was the Administrator of HCA Midwest Health’s Mid-America Surgery institute for three years. A dedicated servant leader, Taylor helped Mid-America Surgery Institute win the 2012 HCA Ambulatory Surgery Division Alsie Fitzgerald Award for Quality and Process Improvement.
“We are very pleased and fortunate that Jeff will join Menorah Medical Center in a pivotal leadership role as we continue to expand the healthcare services we provide to the community," says Menorah Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Charles Laird. "He has the interpersonal and management skills, energy, expertise and a passion for operational excellence to help reinforce and drive the continued growth we experience in high-quality, coordinated patient care, with cutting-edge treatments and services close to home.”
“I look forward to working with Charles’ dynamic organization as it continually expands to better meet the community’s healthcare needs with progressive and innovative programs, services and treatments,” Taylor says. “It’s exciting to become part of the collaborative team of employees and medical staff that comprises one of the area’s most highly-regarded hospitals.”
Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with honors from Missouri Southern University in Joplin, Mo. He earned a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Mo.
