The hospitals of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider and private sector employer—will once again partner with Kansas City’s largest women’s expo June 7 – 9 at the Overland Park Convention Center.  This is the third year that HCA Midwest Health System has been a presenting sponsor for Just For Her, which is expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees.

Belton Regional Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Research Medical Center, all part of HCA Midwest Health System, will have mini wellness stations at the Just For Her expo.  Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about topics essential to a woman’s health including breast care, healthy aging, heart and stroke care, cancer prevention, menopause and weight management, infertility, pregnancy and osteoporosis, among others.

“HCA Midwest Health System is a partner with the community in so many areas,” says Jackie DeSouza, president and chief executive officer of Lee’s Summit Medical Center. “Each of our hospitals has a relentless focus on excellence in healthcare for residents of the communities we touch every day. Participating in this premier women’s expo means our hospitals, physicians and clinical staff can promote wellness and provide education to a large group of women.”

“An integral part of our hospitals’ missions is to embrace our communities with high-quality, compassionate care—vital to the well-being of those we serve,” says Lenetra McCord, FACHE, chief operating officer of Menorah Medical Center.  “We strive to care for every patient using the best evidence-based medicine. Excellent healthcare is what all patients expect and deserve.”

Stephanie Graff, MD, medical oncologist at Menorah Medical Center and Research Medical Center, says attendees at the three-day expo will receive useful information from medical personnel, including breast cancer.  “We will have experts available to field questions and provide information on cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment,” she says.  “Midwest Cancer Care is a leader in Kansas City cancer care.”

Anne M. Kobberman, MD, breast surgeon, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, says HCA Midwest Health System’s physicians and specialists take pride in patient-centric care.  “We put the patient first, and participation in community events like the Just for Her Expo strengthen that commitment and dedication,” she says.

HCA Midwest Health System is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in the Greater Kansas City area.  Since acquiring the facilities in April 2003, HCA Midwest Health System’s 10 hospitals, outpatient centers, physician clinics and ambulatory surgery centers have focused on providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the community with some of the most advanced technology, programs and services available.

Tickets are $6 when purchased online at or $10 at the door.  Girlfriend Ticket Packages are available for $20, which includes four tickets to the three-day expo. For more information about HCA Midwest Health System and the Just For Her expo, visit
