Known for its community-based patient care for 80 years, Menorah Medical Center—part of HCA Midwest Health System—plans to open a new urgent care facility. This center—with the strength of Menorah Medical Center’s powerful and advanced resources behind it—will open late February, providing Johnson County residents with an alternative to the ER or when their regular physician is unavailable. Menorah Urgent Care will serve community residents with quality and immediate walk-in medical care for non-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Located in the heart of southern Johnson County just west of 69 Highway and 151st Street, Menorah Urgent Care is just what the doctor ordered for people with busy lifestyles eager for on-demand urgent care. Scheduled to be open seven days a week—including holidays, evenings and weekends—with real-life hours, Menorah Urgent Care will not require an appointment and will accept all major insurance plans.
“Menorah Medical Center is proud to offer Johnson County residents another option in their healthcare,” says Chief Executive Officer Steven D. Wilkinson. “Our focus has been to provide excellent patient care with traditional values in an accessible neighborhood setting with a compassionate and caring staff for 80 years. Now we’re offering a dedicated state-of-the-art facility where ‘convenience’ and ‘urgent care’ converge. We’re excited to continue growing in our patients’ own backyards with relevant healthcare.’”
Theo Felts, MD, is the medical director of Menorah Urgent Care and says the wide array of healthcare services offered from general illnesses to minor injuries, X-rays to allergies and more was designed to answer a need in the community. “Families and individuals requiring same-day care can trust us to help them feel better,” says Dr. Felts. “Menorah Medical Center’s tradition of compassionate patient care is our cornerstone. We will deliver timely, affordable, high-quality urgent care.”
Menorah Urgent Care will be equipped to handle flu shots, cuts, scrapes, fractures, fevers, coughs and colds, back and neck pain, strains and sprains and even schools and sports physicals. The facility will also provide employment exams, work injury treatment, on-site lab testing and more.
Menorah Urgent Care’s full-service, walk-in healthcare center that will offer on-the-spot treatment for everyday illness and injury to all ages is located at 7935 W. 151st St., Overland Park, in the Kansas City metro. A physician will always be on duty, supported by a full medical team. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call (913) 814-3788.
